WHAT IS RUSH WAITING FOR NOW? MOVE TO COSTA RICA ALREADY

Tell Rush: "Obamacare Won. Move to Costa Rica"

Well, Rush Limbaugh is apparently going apoplectic over the Supreme Court upholding President Obama's health care law. No way you can tell us he is not pissed.

But here's the odd thing.  We don't understand why he's still around to complain, since Rush said earlier that if this law passed, he'd leave America, and move to Costa Rica:

If Democrats didn't have all the incentive they needed to pass health care reform already, then conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh may have provided the final push they needed by vowing to flee the country if the reform bill is passed. Responding to a caller who asked him where he would go for health care if Congress enacts reform, Limbaugh replied, "I don't know.

I'll just tell you this, if this passes and it's five years from now and all that stuff gets implemented -- I am leaving the country. I'll go to Costa Rica." (Source)

Well, now that the Supreme Court has weighed in, and now that it's clear that health care reform will be implemented, we have just one thing to say to Rush:
"Adios mother fucker!"

Send Rush a message.  Tell him the make good on his promise, and to start packing his bags.

(Oh, and to the good people of Costa Rica....um... sorry, foreign aid for catastrophic distress from the damage will surely follow).

WHAT’S HAPPENED TO YOU DEAR RUSHIE?

You’ve been awfully quiet lately…or perhaps your are still the pompous loud mouth you have always been but now people are not listening to you.

Catscan image in Rushie's brain
And so it goes that the sponsors began to pull their support just like they are with ALEC and now you are going to be relegated to obscurity and become just a bad collective memory Americans have. Have you finished packing to retire in Costa Rica?

WE CAN’T ASK DEM. CONVENTION DELEGATES TO GO TO A PLACE WHERE THEY WILL BE HUMILIATED AND TOLD THEY ARE SECOND CLASS CITIZENS

MANY DELEGATES TO THE DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION ARE LGBT - WE CAN’T SUBJECT THEM TO THE NORTH CAROLINA HOMOPHOBIA.
We urge everyone to put pressure on the DNC to find another venue…in a city and state that is more progressive and supportive of LGBT rights, where they will be treated as they deserve to be treated…nothing less than equal is acceptable.
Please pass this along or post it to your blog or Facebook wall.

PULL OUT DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION FROM NORTH CAROLINA

Tell Angie's List: Drop your support of Rush Limbaugh!

Dear Friend,
According to Media Matters, just this week, Angie's List, which stopped advertising on the Rush Limbaugh Show in March, became the first major company to resume advertising after Limbaugh called Sandra Fluke a "slut" and a "prostitute."
Since we launched our campaign targeting advertisers on the Rush Limbaugh Show, over 140 advertisers dropped their support of the Show, and Premiere Radio suspended all national advertising on the show for two weeks.
But, now that Angie's List has resumed advertising, other advertisers could join ranks and start supporting the Rush Limbaugh Show again.
That's why it's incredibly important for us to respond quickly and forcefully so Angie's List, and other corporations who might be thinking of resuming advertising on the show, know that we won't stand by as corporations resume their support of Rush Limbaugh and his sexist comments.
Unfortunately, what Rush Limbaugh says matters. He has a bigger audience than any other commercial radio host in the country, and what he talks about on air has the power to drive the Republican agenda — an agenda that is already obsessed with radical backslides of women's ability to protect their own health.
Sandra Fluke's testimony before Congress included important points about why access to affordable birth control is so crucial, including the story of a friend who had lost an ovary because she couldn't afford the birth control needed to manage her ovarian cysts.
Rush's unforgivable translation of that was "slut" and "prostitute." Sandra Fluke rightly has called Rush Limbaugh's comments "an attack on all women." We agree.
Every American enjoys the right to free speech, but that doesn't mean that advertisers who are accountable to their customers should pay people like Rush Limbaugh who make such appallingly hateful and sexist comments.
Angie's List needs to hear from us loud and clear — if you advertise on Rush Limbaugh, you are supporting his reprehensible attacks on women. And other advertisers thinking about resuming their support of this program need to know that we won't let them quietly begin supporting such hateful and sexist rhetoric.
In the fight against the Susan G. Komen Foundation we proved that when women and the men who support them fight back against those who would restrict women's access to healthcare, we can win. And MSNBC's firing of commentator Pat Buchanan after a campaign protesting his white supremacist rhetoric shows that there will be consequences when certain lines are crossed.
Rush Limbaugh has a long history of hateful rhetoric. But with his comments about Sandra Fluke, Rush Limbaugh has crossed the line at a moment when women, and the men who believe in equal rights for women, are more organized than ever and are ready to fight back.
We will not let the rightwing take away women's access to birth control. We will not let Republicans brand women who assert their right to health care as "sluts" and "prostitutes."
Thank you for joining CREDO in taking action to stop the escalating attacks on women and hold Rush Limbaugh and the Republican message machine accountable.

WE CAN'T SIT STILL AND LET RUSH GET AWAY WITH THIS AGAIN, PLEASE SIGN PETITION FROM CREDO

WE CAN’T SIT STILL AND LET RUSH GET AWAY AGAIN, PLEASE SIGN CREDO’S PETITION

Dear Friend,
Our momentum in the campaign against Rush Limbaugh is generating impressive results.
Over 500,000 CREDO Action members like you have sent the message to Rush's advertisers not to fund his vile attacks on women. But we can't take our short-term victory for granted.
The next step in our fight to hold Rush Limbaugh accountable for his reprehensible comments is to get his show dropped from affiliate stations in all fifty states.
Call WOKV Radio in Jacksonville and tell the station to drop Rush Limbaugh. Below is a sample script and the number to call.
WOKV — 904.245.8500
Hi, my name is YOUR NAME and I live in Florida.

I'm calling to ask you to drop the Rush Limbaugh Show from your programming.

If you continue to support Rush Limbaugh, you are supporting his appalling attacks on women.

Women in Florida don't deserve to be called "sluts" or "prostitutes" just because they believe in access to birth control.

Now that advertisers are fleeing his show, Rush Limbaugh is not just bad for women — he's bad for business. It's time to drop Rush Limbaugh.
We need to put pressure on the stations that play his show to ensure that Rush Limbaugh doesn't bounce back. He has been the top commercial radio host in the country since 1991. In addition to keeping advertisers away, one of the best ways to hold Limbaugh accountable for his extreme, inappropriate, and offensive comments, is to get his show dropped by his affiliate stations.
Every American enjoys the right to free speech, but that doesn't mean that WOKV Radio has to give people like Rush Limbaugh who attack women in such a reprehensible way an on-air platform for hours each day.
In the fight against the Susan G. Komen Foundation we proved that when women and the men who support them fight back against those who would restrict women's access to healthcare, we can win.
Over 140 national advertisers have dropped their support from the Rush Limbaugh Show. The momentum is on our side, but we need to keep the pressure on and ensure that his show is dropped from affiliates in every state.
When women are attacked, CREDO responds. Together we are making a difference.
Call WOKV Radio at 904.245.8500 and tell the station to drop Rush Limbaugh. Then click below to report your call:

Division in America

A dysfunctional Society
America is divided
Who and what set us on this divisive path? Certainly it wasn’t the Progressive Liberals who turned this country of ours into a Capitalist Oligarchy. It is clear that the accusations of the far right are not just unfounded but ridiculous. When we hear them say that the Liberal Progressives want a class war I just get angry. A class war they say and it is the Extremist Far Right Republicans who have been eroding and hurting an already beleaguered Middle Class.
Redistribution of Wealth is what they are saying, not really taking into consideration that the REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH has already taken place: it has gone from the poor and the middle class to the very wealthy and the corporations. The Republicans assured this outcome by systematically giving tax cuts to the rich and even subsidies and give always.

In his speech after winning? the Illinois primary Romney promised prosperity…but be real, prosperity for whom? If you have a Romney who proposes not just a continuation of the failed policies of the past…the very ones that got us into this financial mess and even goes further than that to make it even more profitable for the rich and the corporations, slashing more of the social programs so that they not only keep their tax breaks and subsidies but the Republican Budget (Ryan’s) is a carbon copy of the one they had last year and that budget by all accounts would add to the deficit not eliminate it.
In contrast, Democrats are stating it very clearly:"Our budget does a few key things," Ellison said at a news conference. "One, it investments in America's future by creating jobs up front, with the proper investments. ... Also, it preserves our safety net. No cuts to Medicare, Medicaid or Social Security. It persons the tax code. Our tax code needs to reflect the resources available across America to pay for the needs of Americans, and not exempt people or give them a break simply because they have the money to get people to give them tax breaks and loopholes. And finally, it is a fiscally responsible budget; it is a budget that reduces the deficit."
The details of how the budget accomplishes that will be released on Thursday. But the basics are that the budget allocates more than $2 trillion over 10 years to specific job-creating activities, ranging from school and transportation reconstruction to boosting clean energy and manufacturing businesses. It pays for that investment by ending tax cuts for the top 2 percent of Americans; ending loopholes for oil, gas and coal companies; and closing other corporate tax loopholes.
By contrast, said Rep. Jan Schakowsky, D-Calif., "Republicans on the Budget Committee are going to press forward with a budget that asks ask low- and middle-income taxpayers to shoulder the entire burden of deficit reduction, while giving massive tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans and preserving huge giveaways for the big oil companies."
Ryan, when he presented his budget on Tuesday, said that the only two choices America faced was a future of debt and decline and a future under his budget, in which the federal government would stop supporting economically struggling Americans, but would continue to prop up the wealthy. The Progressive Caucus' budget shows that there is another choice: jobs and economic security for all Americans, in which each segment of the society contributes based on the extent of what they have.
"This budget is a contrast," Grijalva said, "and we are very very comfortable presenting that contrast to our colleagues and to the American people."

There is one thing that Republicans are not abandoning and that is that stupid Reagan TRICKLE DOWN ECONOMICS theory. It didn’t work then and it never will.
The general attitude from Republicans as we have seen is that they should block and do everything in their power to make the present government and President Obama fail so they can take it over once again and set us on the same destructive path as before.
It is no longer a secret nor do they even try to mask it or hide it. The Republicans represent the interests of the wealthy and want to screw the middle class. We had a perfect example this week with one Senator blocking very important legislation that would have extended unemployment benefits. Never mind that he took this stand because he said “it is the principle” but to do so with people’s only way of financial income is downright insensitive and cruel. There was even one of his buddies that said that why give them unemployment extensions, that only encourages them to not go out and look for work.
And the American people would dare protest? The arms of repression have come down on Occupy Wall Street hard and brutally. The protests of last fall were squashed, repressed with excessive force. But let us all be warned: this Occupy Wall Street movement is not going away, it is going to return with a vengeance this spring.
It is always amazing to me that the Republicans begrudge a few million dollars to help those less fortunate in our society yet they have no qualms about spending billions in an unnecessary war they got us into and they even lied to us and the world in order to benefit the oil companies. Our deficit is so high because of these wars, our financial chaos was caused by their incompetence and the millions of people affected by this should never forget who caused their grief.
Yet, Republicans and the ultra right conservative pundits are accusing our President of being a socialist and a welfare President. I ask you this: If President Obama was a socialist, would he not have nationalized the banks when they went belly up? They were bankrupt and nationalization of the banks would have been totally acceptable. Also, when the car companies in unison announced they were about to go into bankruptcy, the U.S. Government could have also taken over and nationalized them. Obama was very clear on this and he said: (paraphrasing) that he had no intentions of taking over nor did he want the car companies to be in government hands.
I don’t know if you are aware, dear reader that the Castro brothers has declared President Obama to be on top of their “blacklist”. Now, if he was a Marxist-Socialist as these wing nut ultra right fanatics claim, do you think that the Castro brothers would have been so unkind?
We Democrats, progressives, liberals and the otherwise sane general public should get off our collective asses and tell the Republicans that we are not going to take their bullshit anymore. We are going to pass whatever legislation is needed to make sure our country survives and the poor and middle class can thrive again.
